Advanced Chinese

Target Students:
  • Students who have completed 3–5 years of systematic, immersive Chinese study, possess solid listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, and wish to further advance their Chinese proficiency and deepen their understanding of Chinese culture.
  •  Age Range:  Grade  6 and above (advanced Grade 5 students of equivalent level may also enroll).

Teaching Method:
  • Small-group instruction.
  • Flexible format: Students may freely switch between online and in-person attendance.
  • Online sessions conducted via Google Meet and synchronized with in-person instruction.
  • Composition/Typing Practice: Completed in class and submitted via Google Classroom.​

​Teaching Goals:
  • Sustain upper-grade students' interest in learning Chinese.
  • Grammar & Expression: Master upper-intermediate structures; communicate clearly in speech and writing.
  • Reading & Writing: Analyze texts and produce organized paragraphs/essays with evidence.
  • AP Readiness: Progressive practice aligned to AP task types and rubrics.
